Whizzy can be used confidently by women with various physical challenges. It is of great benefit for anyone who cannot bend because of back problems, arthritis, or surgery. It is used by women with birth defects, MS, Muscular Dystrophy, or by anyone having difficulty with sitting or standing. The Muscular Dystrophy Association included Whizzy as an adaptive device in its magazine, Quest.
Whizzy was created by a woman with a disability in order to make daily life easier. It is designed carefully to allow easy and effective use by women with limited mobility. It opens for use readily. The handles allow a woman to rest the device on her fingers. No grip strength is required. The device is deep enough to be used without any bending. It slides flat between the legs and then you open it slightly so that no straddling or extra leg movement is necessary. It can be used with one hand. It is pointed slightly downward toward the toilet or receptacle of choice. It aims well. It is necessary for a woman to stand long enough to void.
Anita, a Whizzy user in South Carolina, wrote to tell me:

"Your invention has given me more freedom! I have MS, and I am unable to rise from a standard height toilet. Now I do not have to worry about that problem when I want to go out." |
That to me sums it up. Whizzy gives us more freedom. I hope it is as helpful to you.
